A Laboratory Scientist/Technician Level I or II is needed in the field of Immunology and Microbiology


Kim Laboratories, Inc. seeks a dedicated and hard working Scientist/Technician who possesses great problem solving skills, various laboratory techniques and multi-tasking ability.

Salary range: $50,000 - $90,000 per year commensurate with experience and qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. Degree in Biology or Microbiology or other relevant discipline.
• Prior experience working in a lab environment is required and multiple years of post-graduate work experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Ability to multitask including maintenance of laboratory and equipment, corresponding with customers, and repetitive daily routine.

The ideal candidate should have:

• in-depth knowledge of Immunology, Microbiology, and Molecular Biology.

• prior monoclonal and polyclonal antibody production experience, including design and preparation of antigen, immunizing small animals (mostly mice and occasionally rabbits), screening for antibody in serum through ELISA, screening primary hybridoma cells, and post antibody production in bioreactors. Strong preference will be given to an individual with these skills.

• ability to independently research literature and scientific conferences to identify new product candidates for research-grade or diagnostic-purpose antibodies and to provide additional product line to the company.

• molecular biology experience including qRT-PCR.

• ability to interpret results and write reports in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulations and should be detail-oriented.

• ability and willingness to perform related duties as required or assigned.
